Introduction

The Inxtinct Email Security Plugin is designed to provide advanced email threat analysis directly in your browser. By leveraging the power of AI, it helps identify phishing attempts, spam, and other malicious emails to keep your inbox secure.

Installation Instructions

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Search for "Inxtinct Email Security Plugin".
  3. Click on the extension in the search results.
  4. Click "Add to Chrome".
  5. Confirm the installation by clicking "Add Extension".

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open the Edge Add-ons Store.
  2. Search for "Inxtinct Email Security Plugin".
  3. Click on the extension in the search results.
  4. Click "Get".
  5. Confirm the installation by clicking "Add Extension".

Usage Instructions

Opening the Plugin:

  • After installation, you will see the Inxtinct icon in the browser toolbar.
  • Open your email (Gmail, Outlook or Zoho) in a new tab.

Automatic Email Analysis:

  • Open any email in your inbox.
  • The plugin will automatically analyze the email content.

Visual Indicators:

The Inxtinct icon will appear at the bottom right corner of the screen.

  • Green Icon: The email is safe.
  • Red Icon: The email is unsafe.

Viewing Detailed Analysis:

Click on the Inxtinct icon to expand the pop-up.

The pop-up will show:

  • Threat Level
  • Threat Type
  • Threat Score
  • Threat Summary
  • Suggestions on how to handle any potential threats.

For unsafe emails, the pop-up will open automatically to alert you.

FAQs

  • How do I know if an email is safe?

     The Inxtinct icon will turn green for safe emails and red for unsafe emails. Click on the icon for a detailed analysis.

  • Does the plugin work with both Gmail and Outlook?

    Yes, the Inxtinct Email Security Plugin supports both Gmail, Outlook and Zoho Mail. 

  • Can I manually trigger the analysis?

    No, the plugin automatically analyzes emails when they are opened. 

  • What should I do if the icon turns red?

    Follow the recommendations provided in the pop-up to handle the unsafe email, which may include marking it as spam, deleting it, or reporting it. 

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: The plugin is not analyzing emails.

    Solution: Ensure the plugin is enabled in your browser settings and you are logged in to your Inxtinct account.

  • Issue: Incorrect analysis results.

    Solution: Contact our support team with the details of the email for further assistance. You can also report inaccurate analysis by clicking on the "report issue" button.

  • Issue: The icon is not visible.

    Solution: Check if the extension is enabled and refresh the page. Restart your browser if needed. 

  • Issue: The pop-up does not appear for unsafe emails.

    Solution: Make sure your browser allows pop-ups and that the extension is enabled. Ensure you are logged in to the Inxtinct account.
